Cartersville, GA, USA – November 28, 2018 – Beauflor USA LLC. (Beauflor USA) has become aware via a press release that on November 20, 2018 Innovations4Flooring Holding, N.V. (I4F) filed a patent infringement complaint against the company and its customer Carpet Express, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. I4F has however not yet served Beauflor USA with the complaint.

The complaint concerns Beauflor USA’s new product Boardwalk SPC rigid LVT which was introduced at Surfaces 2018, more specifically its push-down locking system known as 5Gi, licensed by Välinge.

The I4F patent in question was issued on August 21, 2018, which is 7 months after the product launch of Boardwalk. In the meantime, Beauflor USA can assure its customers that Boardwalk will continue to be available.

Beauflor USA is part of the Beaulieu International Group (B.I.G.), which is offering, through its worldwide sales organizations, a large range of LVT products using its own locking system ‘Dreamclick’ as well as various other licensed locking systems.

B.I.G. has a reputation for innovation and respecting intellectual property rights.
